Crystal Guy Tucson 2008 New Finds Well, it was another great Tucson and Gene went wild shopping, as usual. We found some unique new stones and healing tools in addition to re-stocking on many old favorites. We also had a new friend share our Tucson adventure this year. Beth Kennedy, a local Cincinnati psychic and crystal healer, joined us for the show. Beth has been gracious enough to channel some information on the new stones we purchased and her perspective on several of the stones is listed at the bottom of this page for your perusal and discernment. We hope you'll love the new stones as much as we do! Also, Melody's much awaited new crystal encyclopedia book has finally been published and Gene came home with several copies. I've gone through this book looking up all the new stones we purchased and I have to say that it's very good! There are pictures (sometimes multiple) of every stone and the listing is very comprehensive. A great addition to your library if you are serious about stones! - Opalized Ammonites - We bought these in a big dusty bag and I wondered if Gene knew what he was doing (he's the CRYSTAL guy, not the FOSSIL guy) but he obviously was guided. These stones are beautiful and will make great meditation pieces, laying-on-of-stones tools, or they can be made into jewelry. See Beth's comments on this stone. - Chlorite Phantom Landscape Quartz - We've had Landscape Quartz before but this stuff is stunning. Like making a layer cake with Chlorite. Some of these probably have manifestations as well. See Beth's comment on this stone. - Sunstone in Moonstone - I'm excited because I found this while Gene was shopping for Phenacite! It's really wild to have the energy of both the sun and the moon in one piece of stone, not to mention beautiful. Very Yin-Yang. Our Russian dealer friend only had a few pieces from jewelry size to palm size so I bought them up! See Beth's comments on this stone. - Crocoite from Australia - We've had several requests for this stone and were lucky enough to get a flat of it at a reasonable price. These are small bright orange crystals on a brown matrix. - Staurolite from Russia - Also known as Fairy Crosses. Gene picked up a flat of some nice quality crosses about the size of a half dollar each. - Light Blue Fluorite Specimens from China - I knew something was special about these when I picked them up and Beth confirmed it - see her comments below. These stones will be helpful in assisting us to clear deep emotions this year to continue on our path of evolution. - Chinese Rhodocrosite Spheres - We got one huge one and several small ones. We'd never seen Rhodocrosite coming from China but that's what the dealers were calling it. According to Beth they get older folks up and exercising -- it must work since Gene and I have decided to start Yoga again! - African Citrine Points with Rainbow Inclusions - A very different citrine from the kind we usually buy from Brazil. A lot of this quartz has cathedral points too which have also been called "light-braries". See Beth's comments on this stone. - And we picked up a few great specimens of material we've never carried before including Blue Holly Agate, Red Spinels from Vietnam, Nirvana Quartz from the Himalayans, White Moldavite, Scolecite and Natrolite from India, Astrophyllated Quartz from Russia, Polished Bubbly Prehnite, Villiamite from Russia, and some big dark green/black Tourmaline sprays from Brazil.
